Chilly Cave Theme

This track was interesting and fun to compose.  I wrote the sheet music in Muse and used Ableton 11 to mix. One thing that I learned from this project is using triplets, which I have never used in a piece before. Another is using the Dorian mode to add a somber but not sad sound to the track. When composing this piece, I imagined how it would actually be like to be stuck in a freezing cave, in a haze of confusion and sense of urgency to escape. Mario definitely makes it look easy, but I think it would be rather scary coming out of a pipe into some dark cave. Hope you enjoy this track.
